The first week of December, Tim and I had the opportunity to travel to Aquidauana, Brazil to serve through our church with Open Arms Worldwide.  Between the day camps that we were hosting for the local children, we couldn’t help but notice how inventive and resourceful  the Brazilian people are when it comes to construction!  See what I mean below…

Scaffolding

Great idea for how to reuse an old soda bottle!

Limited space, lends to smaller appliances.

We never imagined that we would travel to Brazil, but feel blessed for the experience!  The people were gracious and we hope to visit again someday.  If you would like to learn more about Open Arms Worldwide, please visit: http://www.openarmsworldwide.org and check out all the great work they are doing.  And if Brazil seems too far away for you, they are starting a project in DC starting in 2013!

Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
